'A wet knot never comes undone'
Poetic words from the wedding co-ordinator at Slaters on the day of Pippa and Simon's wedding at the end of August, on which it rained. A lot. Basically all day. We managed to squeeze in some portraits outside in between showers, steadily squelching over the sodden grass. It never quite completely stopped raining. It just...nearly stopped.
Despite the weather, I don't think I've ever smiled so much on a wedding day. Their joy was infectious - 2 wonderful people surrounded by fantastic friends and family.
Pippa wore a gorgeous dress from J & J Designs and the bridesmaids wore co-ordinated gowns in different colours from Roberta's Bridal, which looked great. The venue was decorated beautifully by Elegance weddings and the evening Caribbean food from Carmen's Caribbean Cuisine was amazing. Magician Chris Stokes wowed guests in the evening with his impressive magic and the dance floor was crammed with awesome moves. I loved it.
